The Coquí little frog, is a specimen known to live only in the caribbean island of Puerto Rico, he is the size of a nickel. Another peculiar thing is that during the night hours, the male coqui chirps to his mate. Coqui Coqui, started
jumping when he saw the sun falling, then he got very cheerful and jumped to a
nice Mango tree.
One coqui female called
him. Coqui-Coqui , but he couldn’t
sing.

happy and widened his eyes, and as soon he heard her he started to sing...

La ranita Coquí-Coquí
El coquí ranita, es un espécimen reconocido por vivir solamente en la isla caribeña de Puerto Rico, tiene el tamaño de una moneda de cinco centavos. Otra cosa peculiar es que durante las horas de la noche, el Coquí varón pía a su compañera. Transformando el silencio de la noche en una canción muy hermosa formada por coquí ranitas que cantan el peculiar sonido… Coquí- Coquí, Coquí- Coquí, Coquí- Coquí
Coquí-Coquí, comenzó a saltar cuando vio el sol
cayendo, luego se puso muy alegre y saltó a un buen árbol de Mango.
Una coquí hembra le llamo. Coquí, Coquí,… pero él no
podía cantar.
Coquí-Coquí, comenzó a saltar hasta que vio que fue la media noche, luego se puso muy alegre y saltó a un buen árbol de Papaya.
Una coquí hembra le llamo. Coquí, Coquí,… pero él no
podía cantar.

media noche, luego se puso muy alegre y

hasta que vio la luz del sol naciente, se puso muy alegre y saltó a un buen
árbol de Pana.

Coquí-Coquí, muy feliz abrió muy grande sus ojos, de pronto le oyó y empezó a cantar...
